A few things to know and remember… The fees for participating in the recreation program are as follows: (does not include special events)
When providing your own transportation, you must be picked up from the event by the following designated times: Bowling – 11:45 am Wednesday gym – 8:45 pm Dances – 8:45 pm If there is consistent lateness in picking up a participant, the participant may no longer be permitted to attend. New participants are welcome to bring a family member with them for as long as needed for them to feel comfortable. We also invite anyone interested to be a volunteer at our activities and also for Special Olympics. Occasionally there are special events held which you will be notified of in advance. These outings require separate or additional fees and registrations.
GYM: 7pm to 9pm The gym programs are held on Wednesday nights at the Special Services School in Cape May Court House (Crest Haven). Activities include: dodge ball, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, dancing, etc. Clients are free to join any activity they choose. All clients must wear sneakers. Transportation to and from the gym is available on a fixed route. Directions: Garden State Parkway to Exit 11 (Cape May County Zoo and Park exit as well). Special Services School is on the east side of the parkway, follow signs. DANCE: 7pm to 9pm The dance is held on scheduled Friday nights at the Millman Center in Villas. Directions: Route 47 South: At light in Green Creek, turn right onto Bayshore Road. Millman Center is about 1 mile on the right. Route 47 North: At Fulling Mill Road, make a left. Follow to traffic light, turn right. Millman Center is 1/4 mile on your left. BOWLING: 11am to 1pm The bowling programs are held on Saturdays at the Mouse Trap Lanes, 51 Dennisville-Petersburg Road, Woodbine, NJ.
