The Arc of Cape May County is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the general well-being of people with developmental disabilities. This is accomplished through a variety of services offered directly to individuals and their families. Our residential programs provide homes and apartments in Cape May County and Cumberland County for adults or children with developmental disabilities. All residents receive on-going training in daily living and social skills.

The Arc of Cape May County is seeking applicants who can work either full-time or on a substitute basis. We have twelve residential homes throughout Cape May County and two in Vineland. Available shifts are usually 3p.m. to 11p.m., and 11p.m. to 7a.m.

Residential Aides provide education, training, and support in life activities such as work, daily living skills, recreation, and connections with family members and friends. Residential Aides also carry out behavioral and health interventions and treatment plans. Residential Aides must be able to maintain records properly, act responsibly in emergency situations, and interact positively with residents.

We provide paid training, set raises, advancement opportunities, and a good benefits package. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid New Jersey drivers license are required, in addition to good interpersonal and motivational skills. The Arc of Cape May County is a drug-free workplace. New employees must complete a physical and a criminal background check.

Applicants may complete an application at The Arc of Cape May County's Administrative office at 822 Route 47 in South Dennis or at our Vineland Children's home, 541 North Main Road, Vineland.
